German Personal Documents Translated and Certified

Step 1: Quote

Contact me by sending your documents (see below in Step 2), or a description thereof, and I will provide you with a quote. Standard 1 page documents, such as Birth Certificates and Police Records, are charged at a set fee. Longer documents (e.g. divorce judgements) may be charge on a per-word basis. naturally, I offer discounts for large volumes.

Step 2: Go-Ahead

If you are happy with the quote, confirm your order and send the documents to me (unless you have done so already in step 1). The documents can be in the following forms:

• Email a clear, good quality scan in a standard file format (jpg, gif, pdf, doc).
• Mail clear, good quality copies or certified true copies to me. The mail may take a while if you are sending it from overseas. Emailing scanned copies is definitely faster. DO NOT MAIL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS!

Step 3: Draft and Payments

Once the translations are ready, I will email you with an un-certified draft for your review. If you are happy with it, you should immediate proceed with your payment, as I cannot send out the certified translations until your payment has been received and cleared (unless otherwise agreed). To speed up the process, you can naturally also pay before your receive the draft translation.

Step 4: Mailing

Once your payment has been received and cleared, I will mail the documents to you by standard mail / air-mail. Express or Courier Mail will incur additional charges. Most translations can be completed within 24 to 48 hours if required, however, I cannot guarantee for the delivery time of your documents in the mail.

Other Languages

If you also have documents in other languages, please feel free to place them through me. I will source a suitably accredited translator for the other languages and will return those translations together with the German translations prepared by me. Lead-times may, however, be slightly longer.
